Our Hotel:
On the outskirts of Salò Sergio Leali and his family receive their guests in the rebuilt part of the ancient burg of Monteacuto. You will relax in the peaceful landscape of the Valentesi between wine and olive trees even if it is not far from Lake Garda’s most famous tourist towns.
“La corte del tempo” was taken from an ancient rural town house which was originally part of a monastic complex, the remains of which you can see in the nearby church.
The building was recently restored and modern fittings have been added only if realy necessary, in order to maintain the original shell and character of the house. So the most original architectural elements could be safeguarded, such as the fifth century portal, the stone and brick walls, the wooden beams blackened over time, the evocative archways, the irregular windows and doors, the wide terraces, the loggias and the porticos, the ancient bread oven, the hearth, the kitchen floor in original terracotta tiles and even part of the furniture are tangible witnesses of its long history. As is also the circular stone with the hole in the centre (perhaps a component of an ancient grindstone) which is now place in the courtyard.
The oldest part of the country house probably dates back to the 15th century, other parts to the 17th, a witness to this being the bronze coin found during the restoration on the key to the kitchen arch which was dated 1664. The last rooms were built during the 20th century.
There is private parking space in the courtyard. You can also enjoy yourselves in the garden of 1000 square metres and have a barbecue too.
Right next to our house there are two farms which sell their own wine and olive oil.
The three spacious and light bedrooms are indipendent and include a private bathroom with shower. The great porch invites one to relax outside. You will have breakfast in the kitchen, which is furnished in rustic style and which, if requested, is available for families with small children. For breakfast you will have our genuine honey, home-made bread and organic yoghurt.
